The mural made in a bar, club and exhibition space «Artek», in St. Petersburg, is an additional part of the interior, made by Lesha Galkin, my teammate at Dopludo, as well as an independent artwork itself. The name «Artek» is taken from a famous in post-Soviet states summer camp, located on the Crimean Peninsula. So the topic of the mural comes from that fact. Three stages of destruction of the bust of the pioneer, a typical soviet boy scout, is a metaphor for the collapse of the ambitions of the camp, that was supposed to be an international place of the national feuds, political differences and spiritual emptiness. Ambitions were dashed with the ambitions of the former Soviet Union. In fact in the third stage of the mural in the center of the head is a round ball, like a core, and also there're fragments of the crashed head that cast shadows on it, so that they form shapes of the continents of the earth on the core. This image symbolizes the idea of cosmopolitanism as a means against political pressure, nationalism and involvement in the far-fetched processes.Drawing, Fine Arts, Painting2012 -

20 pillows (45 x 45 cm each), 225 x 180 cm
Why is it always so difficult to memorize the dreams that we have during the night?
They usually quickly escape out of our minds as if they were sneaking away and
hiding the traces. If we could believe that thoughts find materiality then also our dreams might have the material shape as well. Then where do they actually disappear? Might they be stored somewhere?
They can visit our minds several times per night, and often they just slip by barely touching our consciousness for a short while
The work "Captured Dreams" is an allegoric attempt to visualize the idea of the existence
of pillows that could capture dreams and display them. As though the latent image is revealed during the photographic procession after putting it in developing chemicals...Illustration, Fine Arts, Installation2010 -

Artwork consists of approximately 2300 of 1 inch badges on the 135x110 cm piece.
The artwork is called “State of Mine”, it is a selfportrait. The author tried visualize & interpret his own sight of the essence, by splitting it into aspects and using them as ingredients.
The name of artwork explains it, it's a word-play. Expression State of Mind means the particular condition that something or someone is in it at a specific time. The word state has also a meaning of a physical condition as internal or molecular form or structure, for instance: water in a liquid state. Precisely that artist had in view, by doing this structural portrait. He tried to show his psychological and physical condition. So he developed each symbol, which has a particular connection to him, and placed it on a badge, so that every each badge could describe a personality in that period.

Fine Arts, Visual Arts2008 -
